Teen and Adult Services Librarian

The Laurens County Library of the Oconee Regional Library System seeks applicants for our Teen and Adult Services Librarian position. We welcome applicants eager to join the library’s leadership team during an exciting time of growth and outreach.

 

The Teen and Adult Services Librarian assists the Head of Reference and the Heritage Center with the design and provision of high-quality information services, teen and adult programming, and collection development. This position also manages the creation of print and digital promotional materials and strategies, including social media.

The Laurens County Library is headquarters of the Oconee Regional Library System, with member libraries in Glascock, Johnson, Treutlen, and Washington counties.  Dublin is a peaceful micropolitan town surrounded by rural communities and conveniently located 2 hours from both Atlanta and Savannah. Situated in the city’s historic district, the Laurens County Library serves a population of 47,000.  Over the past year, the Library has reinvigorated its community partnerships and outreach efforts. Every member of the library’s leadership team, including the Teen and Adult Services Librarian, is integral to ensuring the continued success and growth of these outreach efforts.

 

Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution; State of Georgia certification for Librarianship, Librarian Grade 5B; and valid driver’s license is required.

 

Hiring salary is $47,517.72, non-negotiable.
