TREUTLEN COUNTY LIBRARY IS ENLARGED
The Treutlen County Library, now located in the Bank of Soperton building, will move on August first to the building now occupied as Alma's Beauty Nook, announces Mrs. W. H. Renfroe, librarian. The change is made necessary because of the increased use of the library and the additional number of books recently supplied to the shelves.
There are now listed in the library 1200 volumes of which 400 have been added within the past two weeks. The latest addition included 175 children's books. All books will be properly catalogued as soon as the move to larger quarters is made, and there will also be arranged a room with reading tables and chairs, so that the books may be enjoyed within the library.
The local library has been made possible through the efforts of a planning board of representative citizens of which Jim L. Gillis is chairman, and the other members are Mrs. S. Courson, Bill Estroff, J. E. Hall and J. W. Fowler.
