Dublin-Laurens Heritage Center Genealogy Search Policy 1. Residents outside of the Oconee Regional Library System will be charged a $15 fee for a genealogy request for information about one person. The fee will include photocopying up to ten pages. Twenty-five cents will be charged for each additional page. 2. A $5 fee will be charged for each additional name researched. 3. Payment of fees will be expected for the research done even if no records are found. 4. Requests must be made in writing and should include enough information to help with the identification of the correct family. Correspondence should include the specific information sought and should indicate the acceptance of these guidelines. 5. Please be aware that a reply may take as long as several weeks. The search will be limited to the following: Laurens County History, vols., I and II Laurens County cemetery indexes Laurens County, Georgia Legal Records, 1807 - 1832 Laurens County, Georgia Legal Records, 1833 - 1857 Obituaries from the Laurens County newspapers* * Note: Searching the Dublin newspapers for obituaries will be done only if the full name and death date are supplied. 6.
