General Information

Through the Georgia Library for Accessible Services and cooperating local libraries, Georgians have access to a free national library program which offers braille and recorded materials. The materials are provided by the
Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind & Physically Handicapped (NLS), to eligible visually and physically handicapped persons. All reading material and equipment is sent to borrowers and returned by postage-free mail.

If you feel you are eligable for this service, please read and complete our application.

In addition to the headquarters library in Atlanta, there are 9 Subregional Talking Book Centers located throughout Georgia.

Also, now library users can search the online catalog for Braille, recorded books, and descriptive videos, place requests and more!
